Why?

Well why not!? There are plenty of 'paid for' banger rally trips where you end up in Rome, Prague or some other far flung corner of Europe, but they all involve you having to ditch the car you're invested hours of effort (and love!) into getting and keeping roadworthy...

So last year we decided to set up our own free rally where you get the car home, hence 'Boomerang' as the car comes back... Although we're meant to be a banger rally there's no entry requirement and having 'decent' cars along as support vehicles is a nice safety net if when we break down. ;)

We're always planning on going over the august bank holiday so we've got an extra day off, plus it just so happens there's an annual beer festival held in Frankfurt held coincidently at the same time. Although the dates stay the same we're going to try and visit new places every year, and all suggestions are welcome.

We started last year with a rather lame two cars but we've grown this year to eight people in three cars so that's progress for you ;)
